Hershey Offers Help to Those Rebuilding from Tornado in St. Thomas Township
HARRISBURG – Rep. John Hershey (R-Juniata/Franklin/Mifflin) today issued the following statement regarding the April 19 tornado in St. Thomas:

“While I have not yet personally viewed damage from Friday’s storm in St. Thomas Township, I have heard from constituents about the downed wires, trees and utility poles as well as the structural impacts. I was not surprised when the National Weather Service confirmed today that an EF-2 tornado touched down.

“I am thankful the tornado did not cause any injuries or loss of life. Images of the storm damage show us how fortunate we are that no one was hurt.

“Teams from the National Weather Service are still evaluating whether tornadoes hit Mifflin and Juniata counties Friday.

“If you are a resident of the St. Thomas area and did not have your property damage surveyed and photographed by Franklin County Emergency Services on Saturday, call 717-264-2813 to be included in a report being made to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.”
