HARRISBURG – Residents of the 82nd District who want to learn more about firearms laws and requirements related to REAL ID are invited to a pair of seminars hosted by Rep. John Hershey (R-Mifflin/Juniata/Franklin).
The Saturday, March 21, seminar on firearms law will be focused on Pennsylvania’s concealed-carry permits. Attorney Joshua Prince will present information from 9-11 a.m. at Fayette Fire Hall, 18 Main St., McAlisterville.
The Tuesday, April 21, seminar on REAL ID will cover who needs the new form of identification and when they need it. Effective Oct. 1, everyone will need a federally accepted form of identification to board a commercial flight or visit a secure federal building.
The REAL ID seminar will be from 6-8 p.m. at Rec Park, 108 Montgomery Ave., Lewistown.
“It is important we learn about these topics from experts in the field. I’m thankful we could secure knowledgeable speakers for both subjects,” Hershey said.
Those planning to attend the free seminars should RSVP to Hershey’s office at 717-436-6001.
